Cochrane Database
The Atlantic Health Knowledge Partnership has opened up the Cochrane Library subscription to ALL Nova Scotians. This makes Nova Scotia one of the few provinces and/or territories with Cochrane access for all citizens (Saskatchewan, Nunavet, New Brunswick, Northwest Territories, and NS).To make this work we have abandoned the old password system, and partnered with the Nova Scotia Public Libraries. They have added the Cochrane Library to their web pages, and any citizen with a working public library card can now access the Cochrane Library. Here is a page with live links for each public library region so that members can access the Cochrane through their home library

Directory of French Speaking Primary Health Care Providers
This directory was developed for Acadians and francophones in Nova Scotia to improve their access to French-speaking primary health care providers.
The directory offers a list of French speaking health professionals who are willing to offer primary health care services in French. Primary health care is defined as the first point of contact for individuals with the health care system and the first element of the continuing care process.
This directory is now accessible at www.gov.ns.ca/health/frhcp/default_english.asp. We invite you to try it and see what is available is your community!
