Independent Dental Hygiene Practitioners

Regulations enacted under the Dental Hygienists Act of Nova Scotia (2007) and effective May 15, 2009
allow registered and licensed dental hygienists to provide services in a variety of practice settings in
addition to a dental office.

Practice settings can include long term care facilities, collaborative practices, multi discipline clinics and
mobile services or a standalone office.

Following is the business contact information for registered and licensed dental hygienists who have
established independent practices and provide dental hygiene care in alternate settings. Each practice
welcomes new patients.
